Privacy Notice

Last Updated: July 09, 2026

This privacy notice for US SkipTracing (“we,” “us,” or “our”) describes how and why we might collect, store, use, and/or share (“process”) your information when you use our services (“Services”), such as when you:

Section 1a below applies specifically to Traced Individuals.

Questions or concerns? Reading this privacy notice will help you understand your privacy rights and choices. If you do not agree with our policies and practices, please do not use our Services. If you still have questions or concerns, contact us at contact@usskiptracing.com.

1. What Information Do We Collect?

Personal Information You Disclose to Us

In Short: We collect personal information that you voluntarily provide to us.

We collect personal information that you voluntarily provide when you express interest in our Services, register for an account, place an order, or otherwise contact us. The personal information we collect may include:

  • Names
  • Phone numbers
  • Email addresses
  • Billing addresses
  • Debit/credit card numbers (processed by Stripe — see below)
  • Usernames and passwords

Sensitive Information. We do not process sensitive personal information (such as Social Security numbers, government ID numbers, or financial account credentials) as part of our standard account/registration flow.

Payment Data. We collect data necessary to process payment if you make a purchase, such as your payment instrument number and associated security code. All payment data is stored by Stripe. You may find Stripe’s privacy notice at their website.

All personal information you provide to us must be true, complete, and accurate, and you must notify us of any changes to it.

Information Automatically Collected

In Short: Some information — such as your IP address and browser/device characteristics — is collected automatically when you visit our Services.

We automatically collect device and usage information such as IP address, browser and device characteristics, operating system, referring URLs, and information about how you use our Services. This is used to maintain security, operate the Services, and for internal analytics.

We also collect information through cookies and similar tracking technologies, including the Meta Pixel, used to measure advertising performance and to retarget website visitors who have not completed registration. See Section 5 for more detail.

1a. Information About Traced Individuals (Non-Customers)

To deliver skip tracing results, we process data about individuals who are not our customers and who have not directly interacted with us. This includes names, current and historical addresses, phone numbers, email addresses, and related identifiers, sourced from public records and licensed third-party data aggregators, matched against the identifiers a customer uploads.

We do not collect this information directly from Traced Individuals, and in most cases have no direct relationship with them. We do not independently verify the accuracy of this third-party or public-record data before it is returned to a customer.

If you are a Traced Individual with questions about data appearing in our systems, see Section 8 for how to contact us. Because this information typically originates from sources outside our control, we cannot always correct, verify, or remove it at the source, but we will address legitimate requests concerning our own systems in good faith.

2. How Do We Process Your Information?

In Short: We process your information to provide, improve, and administer our Services, communicate with you, prevent fraud, and comply with law.

We process personal information to:

  • Create and manage accounts, and process orders and payments
  • Match uploaded list identifiers against data sources to generate skip tracing results
  • Communicate with you about your account, orders, or support requests
  • Send marketing communications, which you may opt out of at any time
  • Operate, maintain, and improve the Services
  • Measure and run advertising campaigns
  • Detect, investigate, and prevent fraud or violations of our Terms & Conditions
  • Comply with legal obligations

We do not use Traced Individual data to make decisions about an individual’s eligibility for employment, credit, insurance, or housing/tenancy. We are not a consumer reporting agency, and our Services do not constitute “consumer reports” under the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA).

3. Permissible Use and Prohibited Conduct

In Short: Our Services are intended solely for lawful business purposes. Misuse of Traced Individual data may result in account suspension and legal referral.

By using the Services, customers certify they will not use any data obtained through us to:

  • Stalk, harass, threaten, or intimidate any individual
  • Make unlawful or unsolicited communications, including in violation of the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), Do-Not-Call regulations, or CAN-SPAM
  • Make eligibility decisions regarding employment, credit, insurance, or tenancy (an FCRA-regulated purpose)
  • Violate the Driver’s Privacy Protection Act (DPPA) or any other applicable law

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to the Services, without refund, for any customer reasonably believed to be misusing data obtained through our platform, and to report unlawful conduct to appropriate authorities. See our Terms & Conditions for the full Acceptable Use Policy.

4. When and With Whom Do We Share Your Personal Information?

In Short: We may share information in the situations described below.

  • Service Providers. We disclose personal information to service providers (such as Stripe for payment processing) under contract, who process it only on our behalf.
  • Business Transfers. We may share or transfer information in connection with a merger, sale of assets, financing, or acquisition of all or part of our business.
  • Affiliates. We may share information with affiliates, who will be required to honor this notice.
  • Legal Obligations. We may disclose information to comply with a subpoena, court order, or other legal process, or to investigate or prevent fraud, protect the safety of any person, or enforce our Terms & Conditions.

We have not sold or shared personal information to third parties for cross-context behavioral advertising purposes and we do not intend to do so.

We do not share Traced Individual data with anyone other than the customer who submitted the corresponding request, our service providers, or as required by law.

5. Do We Use Cookies and Other Tracking Technologies?

In Short: We use cookies and similar technologies to collect and store information, including for advertising measurement.

We use cookies and tracking technologies (including the Meta Pixel) to keep you logged in, remember preferences, measure ad performance, and retarget visitors who viewed the Site without completing registration. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling them may affect Site functionality.

6. How Long Do We Keep Your Information?

In Short: We keep information only as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes in this notice, unless a longer period is required by law.

  • Customer account data is retained while your account is active, and for a reasonable period afterward for tax, accounting, and legal compliance.
  • Uploaded lists and skip tracing results are retained as long as account is active, to allow for support requests and the credit replacement guarantee, after which they are deleted or anonymized unless a longer period is legally required.
  • Payment records are retained as required by financial regulations.

When we have no ongoing legitimate business need to process personal information, we will delete or anonymize it, or, if that isn’t possible (e.g., information stored in backup archives), securely isolate it from further processing until deletion is possible.

7. Do We Collect Information From Minors?

In Short: We do not knowingly collect data from or market to children under 18.

By using the Services, you represent that you are at least 18, or the parent/guardian of a minor dependent consenting to their use. If we learn personal information has been collected from someone under 18, we will deactivate the account and delete the data. If you believe we hold data from a child under 18, contact us at contact@usskiptracing.com.

8. What Are Your Privacy Rights?

In Short: You may review, change, or delete your information, subject to certain legal exceptions.

Withdrawing Consent: Where we rely on your consent to process information, you may withdraw it at any time by contacting us. This will not affect the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.

Right to Deletion: You may request deletion of your personal information, subject to exceptions such as legal compliance obligations or fraud prevention needs.

Right to Correction: You may request correction of inaccurate personal information.

Non-Discrimination: We will not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights.

Traced Individuals: If you are an individual whose information was returned in a skip tracing result, you may contact us with concerns. Because this data typically originates from third-party or public sources, we may direct you to the original source where appropriate, but will make reasonable efforts on legitimate requests concerning our own records.

To exercise any of these rights, email contact@usskiptracing.com or submit a data subject access request through our designated request form.

9. Controls for Do-Not-Track Features

Most browsers include a Do-Not-Track (“DNT”) feature. No uniform technology standard for recognizing DNT signals currently exists, so we do not respond to DNT signals at this time. If a standard is adopted that we must follow, we will update this notice accordingly.

10. Do California Residents Have Specific Privacy Rights?

In Short: Yes. California residents are granted specific rights regarding their personal information.
